- I missed being a baby boomer by 70 days. When I was a senior in high school in the 20th century I marched with 1000's and was arrested and jailed for a week with Martin Luther King in Birmingham. Dr. King described my home town as the most racist city in the U. S. in 1963. Our hope and actions brought about a change in Birmingham and the nation from which I have greatly benefited. Professionally I am an insurance and financial advisor. I have a beautiful and talented wife who I affectionately refer to as TLC - "The Lovely Cathy". We have two lovely and exceptional daughters that are happily married to well educated, respectful, smart and hard working BMWs. But our greatest joy is derived from our three grand children. As a family we feel blessed and highly favored by the Lord. We all love Jesus and are actively involved in ministry. I have a web site www.ltmonline.com/skipbennett.
